ADSL (Asymmetric Digital
Subscriber Line) is a technology for transmitting digital
information at a high bandwidth on existing phone lines to
homes and businesses. Unlike regular dialup phone service,
ADSL provides a continuously available, "always on"
connection. ADSL is asymmetric in that it uses most of the
channel to transmit downstream to the user and only a small
part to receive information from the user.
SDSL
- Speeds up to 1.5 Megs
- Extremely reliable circuit for
business.
- Same speed in both directions.
- Unlimited access.
- Uses a dedicated line.
- Includes up to 8 Fixed IP'S, no
extra charge.
- The most reliable and inexpensive
solution for a Small Office/Home Office.
- Includes 20 Free Emails.
SDSL (Symmetric Digital
Subscriber Line) can deliver high-speed internet access
speeds ranging from 192 Kbps up to 1.536 Mbps. The "S"
in symmetric refers to the fact that data transfer rates are
the same upstream as they are downstream. Businesses
typically want SDSL to enable a number of applications that
utilize considerable up and downstream resources, such as
running Web and E-mail servers as well as for upstream file
transfers and video conferencing. Furthermore, since
SDSL is grounded in the same technology used for T-1 lines
(at 1/3 of the cost), it can be widely deployed without
creating technical problems related with ADSL service.
Qzip's SDSL speeds are guaranteed and provide a scalable
path of upgradeability. The Netopia R7200 router is
the primary choice of equipment used by Qzip for DSL.
Some of the features of this router include an 8-Port
Ethernet Hub, VPN (Virtual Private Network) capabilities,
and a built in firewall. Qzip's different speeds for
SDSL includes: 192 Kbps, 384 Kbps, 768 Kbps, 1.024
Mbps, and 1.536 Mbps
